Drip irrigation

Drip irrigation is recommended for all vegetable crops, both in the field and in protected areas. It is an efficient system, most often used in vegetable growing, with low installation and maintenance costs. Through this system, the water can be administered to the plant, as well as any other water-soluble fertilizers or phytosanitary treatments.

1. Drip irrigation through T-Tape 8mil

The T-tape drip tape is made of UV stable plastic. This material provides a long service life, even in strong sunlight.

The water flow can be adjusted and the uniformity of watering is ensured by a labyrinth preceded by a water entrance area with several inlets on the labyrinth, for increased safety. The water comes out the surface through a long laser notch, which also prevents the entry of soil and bugs which in time would lead to clogging of the drippers.
The T-Tape drip tape has an inner film. The role of the film is to uniform the flow rate per drip along the entire length of the tape (approx. 95% uniformity). Under the film there is a portion of water filtration, a coil after which the water comes to the surface through the long hole, which also regulates the amount of water coming out.

The advantages of the drip system:

  • Watering uniformity
  • Water saving
  • Operation at low pressure (from 0.4 bar to 1.05 bar)
  • Possibility of administering soluble fertilizers
  • Only the plants will be watered, locally, near the roots
  • Weeds will not grow next to plants
  • It's easier to use mulch foil
  • The system gets clogged harder, it is easier to clean
  • The water temperature does not matter
  • The durability of the material can last up to 5 years

Recommendation

  • It is recommended for all vegetable crops, both in the field and in protected areas (greenhouses and tunnels). The drip tapes are installed with the drip holes upwards (white stripe) and it is recommended to filter the water with a 120 mesh filter.
  •
  • Specifications

  • Wall thickness: 0,12 mm
  • Distance between drippers: 10 cm
  • Debit per 100m: 1350 l/h (at 0,55 bar)
  • Debit per dripper: 1,35 l/h
  • Pressure compensation: No

2. Drip irrigation through Hydro PC tube

The PC drip tube (pressure compensated) has a built-in dripper that gives the same flow, regardless of the pressure in the system. The accepted pressure is between 0.5 and 4.5 bar.

Specifications:

  • Wall thickness: 1 mm
  • Distance between drippers: 20 cm
  • Debit per m: 18 l/h
  • Debit per dripper: 3,60 l/h
  • Pressure compensation: Yes
